How Does Schema.Org Work?
Bing, Google and Yahoo! have come up with this shared collection of schemas or vocabularies for a data that webmasters can use. Based on Microdata, Schema.org provides vocabularies for an entity or data that is described on its appropriate page. For instance, if you have an image embedded on your blog, you’ll just need to reference the ImageOBject vocabulary at Schema.org.
To apply schema.org’s vocabularies, you need to be aware of the attributes: itemscope, itemtype, itemprop and the URL of the vocabulary to hand.
