August 18, 2011 – As Google continues to make improvements on its search product, it has once again rolled out another intuitive enhancement.
Just early this week, Google has introduced to the ever-increasing internet users its newest search tool, Google Related Toolbar that shows Google content as you surf.
In Google’s continuing evolution of its search products, the search engine giant has released its newest search tool that enables users to view and use related material (from Google sites) based on whatever is in their browser window.
The new search tool Google Related toolbar is a thin bottom-of-the-page bar for the Chrome and Internet Explorer browsers Extension that shows users useful, interesting content while they browsing the web. Contents may include videos, maps, reviews and other content that’s relevant to that page.
How does Google Related works?
Whenever users are navigating to a new page, Google Related will automatically look for interesting related content (these could be in categories such as videos, news articles, maps, reviews, images, web sites and more) and, if available, Google will display it in a bar at the bottom of the new page.
If users want to preview a listed item or see additional items, users will just have to let their mouse hover over the different categories in the bar. If they want to watch a video, users will also just have to hover over the video link and video pops up in a preview box and then users can play the video directly on the page.
If users see an item they like, they can spread the word by using the built-in +1 button.
Google Related only works for users who have configured Toolbar’s search site to be Google.com and the new toolbar is available for Internet Explorer and as an extension for Google Chrome.

Google Related is not a new concept but this attempt at a real time contextual search tool can save users a couple of extra clicks; thus, saving time and effort.
