September 8, 2010 – Yahoo and Microsoft Bing’s search alliance notched 25 percent share for search queries in US for their first week, according to Experian Hitwise.
The transition of Yahoo and Bing to using Bing-powered organic search results on Yahoo was finished on the 24th day of August. Based from the results released by Experian Hitwise today, these combined search engines got 24.56% market share for their first week which last on August 28. For that week individually, Yahoo got 14.32% while Bing hit 10.24 % for U.S. Search queries.
Generally for the whole month of August, the percentage has only a slight increase compared to stat from the previous month.
