March 7, 2011 – Angry Birds Game, the world’s most favourite mobile game today with over 75 million times downloaded on mobile platforms, will be launched on Facebook next month.
Rovio, game developer of Angry Birds, announced this update on Official Angry Birds Fan Page, expanding their franchise to the largest social networking platform, Facebook, after seeing the game so much popular on smartphones and gaming consoles.
Mikael Hed, Rovio’s CEO Officer, said “there will be completely new aspects to it that just haven’t been experienced in any other platform”. He also added “the pigs will have a more prominent role”, due to Facebook’s collaborative nature, according to Develop Online News.
This Game Expansion on Facebook shows Rovio’s latest growth plans for the game. Once you “LIKE” their official fan page, the game creator promises to update you on the latest news about Angry Birds Game’s Integration to Facebook.
Currently, Angry Birds is available on these platforms: iOS, Android, Symbian, Windows, Mac, PS3 and WebOS.
