A good place to find and read useful SEO Articles and most up-to-date SEO News

Facebook has enabled its users to tag their friends, liked business or brand fan pages, events or groups on comments through the use of “@Mention Feature”. With this latest expansion on comments, it helps users call the attention of their friends on a conversation and allow them to easily cite different entities on Facebook.

Once you type “@” symbol and add the first letter of your friend’s name or fan page’s name, a simple drop down menu will be displayed listing down the names of your friends or liked fan pages that start with that letter. With this drop down menu, it helps you easily tag them. All you just need to do is choose their names on the drop down menu and their names will appear as clickable links. The one you tag will receive notifications indicating that you tag or mention their name in a comment.

This latest update on @Mention Feature also adds greater opportunities for Page Admins to promote their handled Business Fan Pages. Admins can “Use Facebook as Page” and publish comments that mention themselves on the posts of other Pages for them to entice people to visit their Page. This for sure will make their pages visible to users since Facebook’s spam filters sometimes hide comments that contain URLs.
