September 1, 2011 – Facebook, one of the most popular and widely used social networking service and website has recently rolled out its latest Photo Interface.
Ever since Facebook was launched in February 2004, Facebook users had been using the site and its services and tools in keeping contacts with friends, sharing likes, thoughts, videos as well as photos and others — everything that can be legally shared.
Moreover, Facebook has been constantly improving itself as it aims to provide the best social media user experience.
As the rolling out of Google Plus, Goggles social media site, and other emerging social networking sites threatening the standing or status of Facebook among internet users, Facebook has quietly and recently redesigned its photo viewer interface, making it much cleaner and classier.
Now, Facebook’s newly redesigned photo viewer interface for browsing photo albums features bigger photos and a single page of pictures.
With over more than 750 million active users as of July 2011 uploading more than 250 million photos each day, one of the most popular activities on Facebook has been and is currently been sharing pictures.
In the previous design, photo albums were displayed by pages with a limit of at least 20 photos each page. Though the photo albums kept photos organized, with load times at a minimum, clicking the “next” button over and over again was simply becoming a chore that irritated most Facebook users. Moreover, the different sizes of the uploaded photos have made the previous photo albums look messy.
New Changes
Now, with the current and newly redesigned Facebook photo viewer interface, the new changes now feature a cleaner photo viewer interface, making it even much easier for Facebook users to enjoy their photos.
Focusing on cleaning up the album page as well as fixing the user experience, there is no longer any pagination for photo albums — simply scroll down the page and more photos will automatically load as the photos shared on Facebook have been enlarged and standardized with its 720 pixels to 960 pixels, making browsing photos a much more pleasurable experience.
Furthermore, the shared photos now load twice as fast, giving Facebook users quicker access to more detailed images.
Uploaded photos to user profile will also be displayed at this higher resolution and the light box is now set against a simple white background, putting more of the focus on the photo, and less on the surrounding frame.
Benefits for SEO Company who provides Social media Campaign
The recent changes is good news for SEO Companies whose run their own Facebook Official Fan Page as their page and the photos uploaded will become more attractive to the site’s visitor, providing more chance for these visitors to visit the site’s homepage for more photos and details; thus, increasing the site’s visitors.
