Recently, search engine optimization experts have been talking about Google’s new feature for its Google +1 button.
Google search engine results now displays the Google +1 counts for searchers who are logged out.
The Google +1 button has been spotted in search engine results and is shown to all signed-out users.
A Google spokesperson said that the Google +1 shows the cumulative +1 annotations for signed-out users in search.
What is Google + 1?
Google says that the Google +1 button is shorthand for “this is pretty cool” or “you should check this out.” It is like Likes in Facebook or Diggs in Digg, where simply it is a way to show that you like something.
When you click the +1 button, it means that you publicly give your stamp of approval on that site. The +1′s can help friends, contacts, and others on the web locate the best stuff when they search.
How it is Displayed on Search Results?
The +1 count is not displayed by Google for all web page listings.
An annotation indicating “X people + 1′d this” is displayed right below some search results only if you search while logged out.
Previously, when Google +1 was first launched, Google search users were only able to see a +1 button next to search listings, when they are logged in and were only able to see who in their Google network +1′ed a search result.
Now, even if you are not signed it, you will be able to see the total +1 count for some search results.
This recent development may help to encourage additional users to try to use the Google +1 button and help Google in promoting the Google +1 feature.
The Google +1 feature would really help its professional SEO as it will help to increase a site targeted traffic. As we all know, opinions of friends and contacts and other users in the web have a great influence of a person’s choices.
