A good place to find and read useful SEO Articles and most up-to-date SEO News

Giving the most relevant results as quickly as possible is Google’s goal. That is why they have started lately to integrate information shared or found in Flickr, Twitter, and other sites in their Google search results.

At present, Google is putting it a step further by allowing us to share recommendations with the world in Google’s search result.  In order to recommend something, one just has to click +1, the digital shorthand for “this is pretty cool” on a webpage or ad that you like or find useful. These +1’s will then start coming out in Google’s search results.

The brilliance of +1’s is seen in their relevance to your query for you can get the right recommendations at the right time and in the right format for the information are taken from people who matter to you. This is also useful when you are actually looking for information about that topic.

With these +1’s, one can get relevant information from your search results. For example, you are planning to buy a new evening gown. When you do a search for places to buy this gown, you will also see a +1 from your friend’s debut party together with the result for the best boutiques to buy your evening gown.

To display the correct +1s to you, Google uses several signals to identify the best useful recommendation. These include the people that are already connected to you through Google like your chat mates and contacts. Before long, Google will also include other signals like your relation to sites like Twitter and Facebook so that Google can make sure that your recommendations are as relevant as possible to the search query.

Create a Google profile if you like to start +1ing the things you like. If you already have a profile, you can upgrade it. If you want to see all your +1’s in one place, use your profile. You can also delete those you don’t want to recommend anymore. Log into your Google Account to see +1’s in your Google search results.

If you cannot wait to see the +1s in your search results, you may opt-in to the launch by visiting Google’s experimental search site. At first, +1s will appear beside search results and ads but in the coming weeks, they will appear in several places like in other Google products and sites. For advertisers who want to learn more about the +1 button and how it works on search ads and websites, visit Google’s AdWords blog.

With these +1, combined with all other social content included by Google in search, Google is positive that more relevant and better results will be displayed.
