Facebook has now switched back the feature of allowing Page Administrators to send invitations to their friends to like their page which appears as notifications, opening a new viral channel for Facebook Page Growth.
“Invite Friends” Button’s Appearance and Its Benefits
Facebook has placed an “Invite Friends” Button on the Top Right Side of the user’s Admin Page Panel. This button provides Page administrators the option to send their friends invites to Like their Page.
When clicked, a multi-friend selector appears that will allow Page admins to search for friends or sort them by Recent Interactions, network, Group, or friend list. Page admins can then choose friends and send a batch of invites. These invites would appear as notifications on their invited friend’s Facebook account that show the name and photo of the friend who sent the invite.
Likewise, if Facebook’s users’ account notifications settings permit, they could also receive email notifications of invites. However, they are not given an option to instantly Like the Page, but instead if they decide to accept the invite or Like it, they must click through to the Page.
The latest Facebook Page improvement will surely open a new viral channel that could help Facebook Page development. With this latest development, Friends’ invites are now much noticeable and could have a higher conversion rate than the previous way of sending Page suggestions/ invites that appeared in the “Recommended Pages” sidebar module that would occasionally appear because these invites generate Facebook and email notifications.
